Q: WILL THERE BE OTHER CATEGORIES OFFERED AT EVENTS NOT IN THE SERIES?
A: Yes! Each event in the series will have race categories that you can register for beyond what was chosen for the series. Cat 4 & 5 races for example – check each individual event for specifics.
Q: HOW DOES THE USCX CYCLOCROSS SERIES WORK?
A: There is a point system structure based on where you finish in each race. The higher you place in each race, the more points you get. At the final race in the series, these points will be computed, and the winners will be announced.
Q: WILL THERE BE A PLACE I CAN CHECK MY PROGRESS IN THE SERIES?
A: Yes. Clink on the “SERIES STANDINGS” on the USCX.US website and the points will be updated after each event so you can track your rankings.
Q: DO YOU HAVE TO REGISTER AT EVERY EVENT IN THE SERIES TO QUALIFY?
A: No. You do not have to register at all the events. Pick and choose as you wish…but hopefully you’ll find the value in doing all of them!
Q: DOES IT COST EXTRA MONEY TO REGISTER FOR THE USCX CYCLOCROSS SERIES?
A: No. Just the registration price of each individual event. Register for an event in the series and you’re automatically registered for the series.
Q: WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BECOME PART OF THE USCX CYCLOCROSS SERIES?
A: Nothing other than register for your first race in the series. It happens automatically and your results are tallied after each event.
Q: IS THERE ONE SCHEDULE FOR ALL THE EVENTS IN THE USCX CYCLOCROSS SERIES?
A: No. Each event, for regional reasons, will have its own unique schedule of events. That being said, all the events in the series are working together to have the schedules as similar as possible.
Q: WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION COST PER RACE & WHERE DO I REGISTER?
A: You need to go to each individual site and register for individual races (there is no registration for the entire series). The cost will be as similar as possible for all the races in the series. BIKEREG.COM is the platform all the events in the series will be utilizing.
Q: WHAT ARE THE AWARDS & PURSE FOR THE EVENTS WITHIN THE SERIES?
A: All individual events within the series are operating their awards and purses as they typically do (nothing extra for the series at each event).
Q: WHAT ARE THE AWARDS FOR THE FINAL STANDINGS OF THE SERIES?
A: TBD. We’re still working out all the details…check back by Sept 1st as our final decisions will be made by then.
Q: HOW IS THE USCX CYCLOCROSS SERIES DEALING WITH CORONA VIRUS?
A: We will be addressing Covid individually depending on the government and department of health recommendations, policies, and guidelines of each state. We will also be collaborating between all 4 events for best practices and consistency as best as possible. Since changes regarding Covid are almost daily, we will post our event protocols 60 days before the first race in the series. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, please check back frequently for updates and we all know procedures and policies change constantly.
